BermudaLuxury Bermuda Resort Holidays

Luxury Bermuda accommodation on Going Tropical provides all you need to book your luxury hotel accommodation in Bermuda.

Bermuda is made up of 181 islands and islets stretching just 22 miles long and 2 miles wide in the Atlantic. Whilst it is not in the Caribbean, it is warmed by the Gulf Stream with a year-round semi-tropical climate. Bermuda is Britain's oldest colony with a friendly charm and sophisticated hospitality – the epitome of casual
elegance. Visit in spring, summer and autumn for lazy days on one of the many glorious pink sandy beaches in warm sunshine. Prices come down considerably in the winter months when the mild temperatures make the perfect climate for golfing, walking and exploring the many places of interest.

Did you know....?
Bermuda was known by sailors as the ‘Isle of the Devils’ because so many ships were wrecked on the reefs. You are never more than a mile from the sea in Bermuda – as bridges and causeways connect the main seven islands.

Food & Drink
When in season, don't miss the delicious local Spiny Lobster. Fish chowder is delicious, especially with a dash of the local Sherry Pepper sauce, and salt cod is the traditional breakfast dish (a Portuguese influence). The local black rum mixed with ginger beer is known as a Dark 'n' Stormy.

Restaurants
There is a tremendous choice in Bermuda including traditional British pubs, cocktail
lounges, romantic oceanfront restaurants, beachfront snack wagons, casual brasseries and even sushi bars. One thing you won't find is the ubiquitous McDonalds as all neon signage and outdoor advertising is banned in Bermuda. Expect to pay London prices for food and drinks – but in glorious surroundings. Our favourites in Hamilton include the Blue Juice Bar for alfresco tapas, cocktails and music, Harbourfront for sushi and La Coquille for superb French cuisine. We also recommend a couple of more modern restaurants such as The Pickled Onion and Barracuda Grill. For a more casual and relaxed environment we suggest Aggie’s Garden & Waterside for fresh foods with a new and creative menu each day. Increasingly, the ‘jacket and tie’ rule has been relaxed at the hotels and most now offer a more casual dress code for dinner on some if not all nights.

Getting There
British Airways Non-stop from Gatwick to Bermuda on Tuesday,Thursday, Saturday and Sunday on B777 aircraft with World Traveller,World Traveller Plus, Club World and FIRST cabins. Flying time is approximately 7hrs.
