Granaway Guesthouse

Enjoying wonderful views of Granaway Deep and dating from 1734, this delightful guesthouse was originally a stately waterfront home used by pirates for the storage of booty. Today you can still share a taste of the paste.

The main house has four guest rooms where a continental breakfast of freshly baked muffins and fresh fruit is served daily with antique silver and Herend china on Bermuda cedar trays. If you want your own romantic getaway Granaway Cottage, formerly the slaves' quarters, has been delightfully updated with bathroom and full kitchen and boasts beautiful hand-painted Italian floor tiles, a fireplace for cosy evenings in the winter, and air-conditioning for the summer, plus a private patio.

The city of Hamilton is a mile to the east across Hamilton Harbour and is easily within reach by a short walk along Harbour Road and then a ride on one of Bermuda's quaint ferry boats.

Special features at Granaway include a luxuriant garden where guests may choose to enjoy breakfast. The elegant swimming pool is surrounded by lush tropical foliage where one may be enticed to snooze by the relaxing sounds of the fountain. The waterside swimming area is excellent for an early morning dip or snorkelling.

A holiday at Granaway is rather like staying in a private home. All rooms have air-conditioning, bathrobes, cable TV, DVD & CD player, fridge, hairdryer, heating, iron and ironing board, microwave, safe, sitting area.
