Overview
Named after a tree found in the tropical rainforest, Angsana sits on one of the most photographed islands in the Maldives.
Surrounded by white beaches, crystalline waters and kaleidoscopic reefs, the Angsana Resort & Spa is the place to come for privacy, tranquility and revitalisation.
Accommodation
Dotting the circumference of Ihuru are 45 captivating villas with thatched roofs, private gardens and verandas with dining and sitting areas.
Taking an inspirational approach to resort living, Angsana combines a minimalist modern design with vivid interiors of lime green, tangerine and yellow, presenting you with a contemporary image that surprises and reawakens your senses.
Although modern facilities are provided in the villas, utmost care is taken to ensure the resort remains environmentally friendly.
Restaurants
Guests can dine at the water’s edge on the wooden deck of the Riveli Restaurant or enjoy refreshing cocktails at the Velaavani Bar whilst trying to spot a turtle or dolphin in the lagoon.
In-villa dining is also available, as is private dining on the beach or on a nearby sandbank.
Recreation
Ihuru has one of the best house reefs in the country, so naturally snorkelling and scuba diving are a must. Water sports on offer include windsurfing, water skiing, catamaran sailing and wake boarding. The resort’s marine biology classes and escorted snorkelling safaris encourage guests to fully explore the marine world around them.
A host of recreational pursuits will lure you beyond the ocean. From exciting beach volleyball to entertaining board games, guided excursions and night fishing, there's something for everyone.
With the eight treatment rooms of the Angsana Spa offering an extensive range of holistic and non-clinical treatments and massages, you will leave feeling indulged and pampered from head to toe.
Supplements from (per person per night) Deluxe Beachfront Villa £13 to £15.
